The Charity Club Langkawi, a Malaysian registered NGO, has been operating for 6 years. We are committed to improving the day to day lives of underprivileged families in Langkawi and we do this in many ways - help with costs for food, education, home repairs, medical treatment, travel costs to mainland and much more.
Since Siva was diagnosed in November 2015 he has had 8 chemotherapy sessins in Alor Setar and 2 stem cell mobilisations in Kuala Lumpur Government hospitals. These require hospital stays of between 4 and 8 days dependent on his health at the time.
After each chemotherapy session he has to return to Alor Setar every 3 days for blood tests.
Siva and his family have no more funds to support his treatment and travel costs.
We have donated RM 2722 but our funds are low and we have huge demands on them. We need more funding to be able to continue to help Siva receive his treatment.
He has not been able to work since August 2015, his wife has to accompany him to hospital to care for him and also he is not fit to travel alone. He is heavily in debt, has given up his own home and lives with his retired parents and is desperate to get well again.
The cost of travel and subsistence to Alor Setar each time is around RM 170. Treatment is subsidised but there are still costs.
The cost of travel and subsistence to Kuala Lumpur is around RM 350 each time. Stem cell treatment is free but there are ward and other costs.
ALL donations, irrespective of how much will be personally acknowledged by email and on our Website and Facebook pages.
We promise that 100% of funds received will be used to support Siva.
