About this campaign
La Charite Du Carnaval VI
La Charite Du Carnaval is an annual charity event which is organized by Business Society MMU Melaka. This is the sixth year for La Charite Du Carnaval. The objective of this event is to create an awareness of doing social responsibily among MMU students. This event will be conducting via doing some programmes and collect donation fund for the targeted beneficiary. For the past few years, we have helped a few orphanage and old folks home. This year we aim to help the pets and animals, hence, the targeted beneficiary is Homeless and Orphan Pets Exist(HOPE) in Pekan Nanas, Johor.
Homeless and Orphan Pets Exist (HOPE)
HOPE is a centre that shelters over 3,000 fur kids, and the expenses of food is around RM5,000 per day. Not including the medicines expenses and maintenance. Thus, we hope to help a little to the HOPE and at the same time, we can create the awareness among the MMU students and the public. Their four core missions – rescuing, re-homing, sterilization and increasing the public awareness of pet ownership and responsibilities. An enormous amount of love and care is given to ensure that the furkids are happy and healthy. Apart from food and water, like any pet kept in your home, the animals in H.O.P.E. Receive an adequate amount of medical care. All the furkids in H.O.P.E. Are sterilized and given regular vaccinations.
"Solidarity Means Strength"
Charity does better in doing with a big group of poeple. Hence, we will be conducitng a series of activities in one of the shopping mall in Melaka. This is to create an awareness to the public that strain pets need our help, and doing charity is one part of our lives. The reason we aim to collect RM8,000 is because the fund will be seperated into two parts which are we the 80% of the funding will be the donation to the HOPE, and 20% of the fund will be as event expenses.
"Solidarity Means Strength" We not hoping you to donate a lot, donate a RM5 is enough, because with many of RM5, we can do greater and better works!
Aside from that, doing La Charite Du Carnaval is to encourage students in organizing charity events. Hence, we hope that everyone can donate to achieve the targeted donation fund as a sign of encouraging and motivating in doing a charity event.
